Made before the “say-no-to-plastic” era but exceptionally relevant today. Why use ugly and environmentally damaging single-use containers when there is already plenty of beautifully handmade alternatives we can find today.

The bamboo is used here is two different ways to provide two contrasting texture on the tea box, the front is embellished with a simple yet lively mother-of-pearl carving of a fishing scene. At the back fo the tea carrier an elegant orchid is carved, orchid being one of the “Four Gentlemen” of Chinese culture symbolises elegance and modesty.

Condition: No visible damage, both original “Made in China” sticker and internal tin foil is intact.
