Beautifully handcrafted silver bowl from the Indochina region. This intricate bowl is almost fully covered with embossed motifs all skillfully hammered by hand. The lotus bud motif at the base suggests some Buddhism/Hinduism influences. Lotus is also generally accepted as a symbol of harmony and purity in Asia. A bowl like this may have been used during important ceremonies where they fill it with water and flower petals.
