Old Shanghai Jewellery Box.

Original vintage jewellery box with Chinese jade inlay, brass embellishments, and red Chinese silk interior. Included the original brass Chinese lock and key. Four pieces of Chinese nephrite jade can be seen inlaid in the two doors and on each side of the box. Three drawers are hidden behind the door while a bigger drawer with a secret compartment sits below the two doors. Brass handle on the top is also designed with the auspicious double happiness motif, making it a great wedding/house warming/anniversary gift.

This is what we call a brand new old piece, still in original box and packaging when we got it from a former exclusive importer of Chinese goods during the 80’s.
